We have a great bunch of people who work as members of our board. It’s these members who bring about everything Watershed has to offer to our community. From art lovers to practicing artists, these are the people who make Watershed possible.

Billy-Christopher Maupin

Billy-Christopher Maupin is an acclaimed theatre director, actor, and educator. Recent credits including Sweeney Todd, The Mousetrap, and All Together Now! with Somerset’s Flashback Theatre Co. Other directing credits include Lillian Hellman’s The Children’s Hour, Dave Malloy’s Preludes, and Carrie the Musical, as well as A Gender-Reversed Exploration of Macbeth (Richmond Shakespeare), Twelfth Night (Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School), and You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown (Firehouse Theatre). He started a new theatre and drama program at Wayne County High School, which presented an award-winning 30-Minute A Midsummer Night’s Dream for the Kentucky Theatre Association Conference. He is the co-founder and Associate Artistic Director Emeritus of 5th Wall Theatre and an Associate Artist with the Carpenter Science Theatre at the Science Museum of Virginia.

Ashley Homrich

Ashley Homrich (she/her) is a local registered dietitian (nutritionist) and private practice owner who acknowledges the importance of advocating for a compassionate, equitable world and asking the deep, meaningful questions around societal issues. She serves in many community spaces with hopes to open as many doors as possible for those who do not look, speak, move, act, love, and/or believe like her. When she is not working, she enjoys supporting small businesses and local artists, musicians, farmers, and restaurants as well as being with those who lift her spirits and compliment her soul.

Delainey Bowers

Delainey Bowers is a folklorist who lives and works in Somerset, Kentucky. As Editor in Chief for Kentucky Folklife digital magazine, Delainey strives to share the diverse traditions and creative expressions that exist throughout the Commonwealth. Serving on the board of Watershed Arts Alliance allows her to highlight and advocate for local and regional artists whose contributions may be overlooked or underutilized.

Faith Speaks

Faith Speaks is a Graphic Designer and Social Media Manager for Forcht Broadcasting Radio & Digital. Born and raised in Somerset, Faith has always loved the arts. Faith graduated from Somerset Community College with a degree in Visual Communication - Multimedia in 2020. She is excited to be a part of Watershed and interact more closely with the local arts community. In her spare time, she enjoys camping, traveling, or the simple pleasures of spending time at home with her husband Mitch, and dog Zuko.

Erica Spurgeon

Erica Spurgeon is a Kentucky native residing in Pulaski County. She works as an Extension Agent for 4-H Youth Development for the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service. Through her role, Erica strives to provide positive youth development experiences so that all youth experience belonging, mastery, independence, and generosity. Erica includes many opportunities in the Communication and Expressive Arts program area of her county 4-H program, such as art day camps and theatrical productions. Erica graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Dakota in 2017. She earned her B.A. in Communication & Marketing. She is currently pursuing her M.A. in Arts Administration at the University of Kentucky College of Fine Arts. In her free time, Erica enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, raising rabbits, consuming local art, and watercolor painting.

Anton L. Miller

Anton Miller in his purest form is nothing more than a YOUNG MAN TRYING. And in saying that, Anton is just a young man trying to make his energy and emotions resonate with others through his artwork and words.

Kat Moses

Kat Moses is a community organizer who serves as President of Watershed as well as founder and Executive Director of Chill Out & Proud Somerset. She holds a Master's in Public Administration with a concentration in nonprofit leadership from Murray State and a Bachelor's of Liberal Arts in Women's Studies from Berea College, where she works as an administrative assistant at the bell hooks center. Kat would never call herself an artist, but has mediocrely dabbled in acting, drumming, singing, writing, and is self-taught on ukulele. She credits Dan and Pat Carpenter’s arts coursework at Southwestern High School in the mid-2000s for instilling her broad interest in the arts. She is excited to be part of this chapter of Watershed.

Wynona Padgett

Wynona Padgett is the Director of Watershed Arts Alliance, a nonprofit organization that serves artists and musicians in Pulaski County, Kentucky. She worked in local radio for 31 years and has served on several charitable boards. Wynona earned an Associate of Applied Arts in communications from Somerset Community College and a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and broadcasting from Eastern Kentucky University. She is currently the president of Somerset Junior Woman's Club, a Somerset-Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce Ambassador, and works as a cancer control specialist with the Kentucky Cancer Program-East at the University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center Community Impact Office. Wynona enjoys photography, writing short stories and poetry, community event planning with the hope of using her skills to help Watershed Arts Alliance continue to grow. She also has four fabulous cats: Gracie Tesla, Maggie Marconi, Gypsy Storm, Sir Ebony Binx!
